The World Motivation
God has revealed His beauty in beautiful scenery. Without beautiful scenery, man would be wandering.
“When you help people for the sake of God, do not expect any reward from them; your true reward will come from God.”
“God does not reject supplications, but there are supplications that are answered quickly, and there are supplications that are answered late, between forty years. God is very close to believers.”
“Be on the side of truth and with the truth, God is the truth and he supports the truth.”
“This is the philosophy of life, "Not everyone will be satisfied at you and you can't satisfy everyone, so let the content of God come first.”
“If intellect and wisdom are lost in the administration of a country, generation after generation will remain confused and subjugated.”
“God is the source of the soul. The soul is the secret of life. When the soul separates from the body, life becomes mortal.”
“Whether or not you believe in God, you must believe this: when we as a species abandon our trust in a power greater than us, we abandon our sense of accountability. Faiths… all faiths… are admonitions that there is something we cannot understand, something to which we are accountable. With faith we are accountable to each other, to ourselves, and to a higher truth. Religion is flawed, but only because man is flawed. The church consists of a brotherhood of imperfect, simple souls wanting only to be a voice of compassion in a world spinning out of control.”
“I will tell you why we have these extraordinary minds and souls, Miss Whittaker," he continued, as though he had not heard her. "We have them because there is a supreme intelligence in the universe, which wishes for communion with us. This supreme intelligence longs to be known. It calls out to us. It draws us close to its mystery, and grants us these remarkable minds, in order that we try to reach for it. It wants us to find it. It wants union with us, more than anything.”
“I love to walk. Walking is a spiritual journey and a reflection of living. Each of us must determine which path to take and how far to walk; we must find our own way, what is right for one may not be for another. There is no single right way to deal with late stage cancer, to live life or approach death, or to walk an old mission trail.”
“You ever seen that painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, where God’s reaching out and touching the finger of an angel? That was what it felt like at the moment my lips touched hers. It was more than just a kiss. It was something spiritual.”
“I never wavered in my certainty that God did not exist. I was simply liberated by the thought that there might be a way to engage with religion without having to subscribe to its supernatural content - a way, to put it in more abstract terms, to think about Fathers without upsetting my respectful memory of my own father. I recognized that my continuing resistance to theories of an afterlife or of heavenly residents was no justification for giving up on the music, buildings, prayers, rituals, feasts, shrines, pilgrimages, communal meals and illustrated manuscripts of the faiths.”
“The journey begins in your mind. Create beautiful memories.”
