Everyone faces adversity.

No matter how commonplace or dull your first job's duties seem, chances are you can find something to do that others don't want to and make it your own.

Public relations and marketing are something companies do to move product. It is not meaningful. It is not cool. Yet because it is cheap, easy, and lucrative to cover, blogs want to convince you that it is.

There has to be something about your business that gets you excited. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't have spent your precious - irreplaceable - time on it.

You can't believe your own marketing.

I think you've got to treat adversity and prosperity the same way.

Sometimes when you're younger, you don't understand that the game has different aspects to it. There is adversity. There is opportunity but you don't always win.

Of all the things people have taught me regarding life lessons or anything that would benefit me, I don't think anything helped me learn more about life than football. You go through so many different things: adversity, how to handle adversity, how to handle success, how to lead, how to be a teammate, how to communicate.

I love adversity. It really reveals people, and I think I've handled it pretty good.
