Watching Republicans in Washington is like watching lemmings, if lemmings jumped into cesspools instead of off cliffs.

I like to argue with the radio.

Gossip is what you say about the objects of flattery when they aren't present.

Public schools helped create the idea of America and inculcate Americans with a few rudiments of knowledge. To judge by that very American item, the Internet, a few rudiments is all anyone cares to have.

The C student starts a restaurant. The A student writes restaurant reviews.

West Somerset is one of my favourite places: there's fabulous walking with cliffs, forests and rivers.

Venice is truly magical. The Devon-Dorset coast in England is so beautiful, and its sandstone cliffs are full of fossils, which can make for some very exciting walks. And I love Halifax, a great place with all the modern things you could want, plus a wonderful sense of history, and, of course, the sea.

Sometimes, when the wind hits hard and icicles form on the sea cliffs, we can all come together - and at those times, we are at our best.

I did a lot of my stunts - the fighting and the running - the stuff I could do on the ground. But the dangerous stunts - driving cars off cliffs and being in wrecks or big falls, I didn't get into that.
