God hears no more than the heart speaks; and if the heart be dumb, God will certainly be deaf.

Afflictions are but as a dark entry into our Father's house.

For great is truth, and shall prevail.

Christ often take the crown off his own head, and puts it upon the head of faith; witness such passages as these, which are frequent in Scripture; ‘Thy faith hath save thee’ Luke 7:50). ‘Thy faith hath made thee whole’ (Matt. 9:22). And no wonder that Christ crowns faith, for of all the graces, faith takes the crown off a man’s own head, and puts it upon the head of Christ.

I am one hundred percent ready to be a spokesperson for the deaf community.

I used to be Miss Deaf America in another lifetime, and literacy was my platform at that time. And it's still very important to me today.

There is no relation to sound for deaf people. It is a totally different mental process.

I searched YouTube for 'deaf music videos' and watched them with the sound muted. I noticed that though you could understand the words being signed, the sense of rhythm was lost. That's when I had the idea to create a video where you could see the sounds you couldn't hear.

When I was 11, I knew that I wanted to write a kid's book and tell the world what it was like being deaf.
