I use what God gave me.

Often when I go to home of people who have small children, the children will run from me, even though they have seen me on television. I understand why they do this but it is a sad feeling for me, even so.

I know I have eaten more good food, drunk more beer and fine wine, had more friends, and seen more of the world than most men ever will.

It's difficult wherever I go. They don't build anything for big people. They have everything for blind people, for cripple people, for some other people, but not for big people.

I love my profession. I know what I'm doing, I love travelling.

It wasn't glamorous in my day. In the regions, reporters were seen as such low life that they didn't merit their name in the Radio Times. Now people are interested in being famous. I never gave it a thought.

It was men who stopped slavery. It was men who ran up the stairs in the Twin Towers to rescue people. It was men who gave up their seats on the lifeboats of the Titanic. Men are made to take risks and live passionately on behalf of others.

Getting injured gave me the opportunity to re-examine some small things like my serves.

I gave it my body and mind, but I have kept my soul.

God guided me to America and gave me a good job. But he also gave me a heart so I would look back.
