Life creates conditions conducive to life.
We're basically this very young species, only 200,000 years old. We're one of the newcomers, and we're going through the same process that other species go through, which is, how do I keep myself alive while taking care of the place that's going to keep my offspring alive?
There are three types of biomimicry - one is copying form and shape, another is copying a process, like photosynthesis in a leaf, and the third is mimicking at an ecosystem's level, like building a nature-inspired city.
I don't get on with novelists, don't enjoy their company. Once you've worked for a publisher, you understand the species, see them in their natural habitat, and it's not always pretty.
What we should be doing is saving habitats, not single species, no matter what their cuteness factor.
With a lot of songwriters, our habitat is the studio - being quite introverted, but finding ways to say things that you would never say in real life. We're not naturally influencers, so it's weird to suddenly have to become that personality. Every time I'm trying to film content and be on social media, I'm like, 'This is so not natural!'
I've always been such a fan of Habitat for Humanity and the work that they do.
There are literally as many ideas as there are organisms.
Being on the road is a great habitat for creating new music because there's so many different experiences.
