There's this weird thing about acting where you have to wait for somebody to ask you to do it; like you have to wait for a director to say it's okay.

I always think that period between the ages of 18 and 24 is such a bizarre stage, and the two people at either end are always very different.

I do think musical-theater actors can get a bad rap, and I see why. There is a certain slickness - there's nothing better than an amazing musical, but an okay musical can be one of the worst times you've ever had.

There's something really interesting to me about the idea of being okay... of just being satisfied. And I'm never satisfied, it absolutely terrifies me. It means in a moment of true happiness and of success, I'm always like, yeah, but this wasn't quite right. I really don't know how to enjoy that moment.
