We need realism to deal with reality.

And to turn it into rap wasn't too difficult besides just rhymin' the last words of each line.

My interest in theater really began in the '70s when American realism wasn't really in favor. I really dreaded going into a play that had a toaster that worked. I just didn't want to see that.

While we look to the dramatist to give romance to realism, we ask of the actor to give realism to romance.

I always loved acting. I always loved realism. I loved the theatre, specifically small audience, real-sets stuff.
